We first visited here around 12 years ago and the gardens were amazing. The grounds are now better than ever and one of the highlights is the jungle walk with exotic plants and tree ferns - you could easily be in New Zealand.

There is however plenty more to see with fine displays of rhododendrons in early summer and woodland trails and bluebells.
There is a more formal side to the displays however with a pretty Italian Garden and colourful herbaceous borders.

The walled Garden not only grows a wide range of vegetables but also has a flower cutting border.

The staff here are very keen on wildlife and so there are plenty of habitats for them including 60 bat boxes - housing greater and lesser horseshoe, pipistrelle and brown long-eared bats. There are 2 lakes where you might see Kingfishers and other birds.
This will be a great day out for all the family.
