Thorp Perrow Arboretum
Thorp Perrow is situated at the base of the Yorkshire Dales - come and explore the 100 acres of woodland with trees from around the world, some trees dating back to Medieval times.
At 100 acres, Thorp Perrow Arboretum boasts one of the largest collections of shrubs and trees in the North of England, including the national collections of ash, lime, laburnum, walnut and cotinus.
Open all year, the Arboretum is arguably at it's most striking through the autumn months when leaf colour changes set the woodland trails ablaze. In spring snowdrops, crocuses and thousands of naturalised daffodils are of note, followed by carpets of bluebells.
The Arboretum houses one of the largest bird of prey centres in the North, and also offers a plant shop, tearoom, adventure play area, and a year-round program of events including outdoor concerts.
