- It is home to over 20,000 plants, including what’s considered the North’s largest collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias.
- Over 80 contemporary sculptures are dotted around the park, carefully chosen to enhance the surrounding environment.
- An 80 square metre sculpture by Anna Whitehouse made from 1,300 ceramic Meconopsis poppies which cascades down a hillside in the garden.
- The landscape comprises of a beautiful valley providing with an arboretum and 3 beautiful lakes.
- Early season interest with drifts of bulbs.
- Lakeside Pagoda beside the floating Magnolia sculpture.
- Series of events throughout the year.
