Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden
The Fairhaven Woodland Garden is a great place to visit with the family, and boat trips on the Broads set off from here.
The Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden comprises 73 hectares (180 acres) of beautiful ancient woodland, water gardens and a private broad at South Walsham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The garden was left in trust by the 2nd Lord Fairhaven in 1973, and was opened to the public in 1975. We are working hard to preserve and enhance the garden according to Lord Fairhaven's wishes.
We have boat trips on the Broads with one boat suitable for the disabled.
Organic Garden - The garden is organic; we only use farmyard manure and our own leaf mulch to fertilise the soil. The resulting flora and fauna found in the garden are testimony to this approach.
Please note - Do not expect a garden in the normal sense of the word. More of a Park with Rhododendrons and Azaleas and included as it is a lovely place to visit with the family.
Fairhaven Woodland Gardens Opening Times - see latest information by visiting website. Normally open most of year. Tea Room, gift shop, children's trail.
