Penshurst Place Gardens
A splendid 14th century Manor House, Penshurst Place is set in magnificent Tudor Gardens surrounded by gentle English Parkland.
Just amazing! A splendid 14th century Manor House, Penshurst Place is set in magnificent Elizabethan Gardens surrounded by 2,500 acres of Kent countryside.
The gardens at Penshurst Place offer an abundance of variety in form, foliage and bloom throughout the year. From spring flowering bulbs, through fragrant summer roses and exuberant herbaceous borders to mellow orchard fruits. The garden culminates in a vivid blaze of autumnal colour before the gardens close at the end of October each year.
Particular highlights include the 12,500 jewel of spring tulips which bloom in the spring, the many varieties of roses and 100 metre peony border which bloom in the summer, and the abundance of colour and texture seen year round in the 11 distinctive garden rooms, separated by over one mile of yew hedging.
