Holkham Hall Walled Garden near Wells-next-the-Sea

Originally laid out by Samuel Wyatt, the garden is divided into squares each with their own theme and associated planting plan:
The Frame Yard with its Thomas Messenger glasshouse, sunken pit houses and glasshouses.
The Ornamental Garden with a central lawn and deep planting beds of roses and perennials.
The Vineyard, Holkham's take on a traditional French vineyard producing bespoke Holkham Walled Garden wine.
The Exotic Garden with its 'hot' planting style, with later flowering herbaceous plants and shrubs.
The Kitchen Garden which grows and supplies vegetables and fruits to Holkham Hall and The Victoria Hotel and Restaurant.
The Cutting Garden framed by spectacular 19th century vineries which house peaches, nectarines and grapes. This square provides Holkham Hall's florists with everything they need to adorn the Hall, church and cafés.
The Samuel Wyatt Vinery is recently restored and holds a collection of vines and sweetly scented plants.
Holkham Walled Garden aims to use nature on an increasing scale to tackle pests and diseases rather than chemicals. Visitors will find areas of cover crops that are planted to help improve the quality of soils, as well as wildflowers in and around the garden to encourage and support pollinators.
