Visit the beautiful historic Ham House and Gardens on the outskirts of London, maintained by the National Trust.

Lovely gardens surround this outstanding Stuart House known as Ham House (National Trust) on the banks of the River Thames.
Extensive and beautiful 17th century gardens, restored and with lovely Cherry shaped parterre filled with lavender.
There are 2 extensive walled gardens, one used as a kitchen garden. The second large one is divided into a series of 8 square lawn shapes in keeping wth the original garden and backed by a more informal area known as the Wilderness.
Many pots and tubs, 17th century garden furniture. Colourful flower borders and other features including one of the oldest Orangeries in the British Isles.
The House itself has a fine interior with a great collection of furnishings and textiles.
Family activities will keep the children happy so head here for a great day out
