From late January to mid March Gloucestershire has some of the finest gardens and places to see Snowdrops in the British Isles.

Batsford Arboretum Snowdrops - This is a wonderful place to visit in Gloucestershire at any time of the year but especially during the Snowdrops season. There are masses of snowdrops throughout the grounds and especially by the banks of the stream which tumbles down the hill side amongst the trees.

Cerney House Snowdrops - A woodland trail takes you through displays of mass Snowdrops, together with hundreds of hellebores of all different colours. Have Tea and Cakes in the Gardener's Cottage within the Walled Garden.

Colesbourne Park Snowdrops - Considered by many as the best place to see Snowdrops anywhere in Britain. Discover 10 acres of  gardens and woodland walks, overlooking a lake with a mix of snowdrops, hellebores, cyclamen and a wide variety of early flowering shrubs.  There is a collection of over 350 cultivars of snowdrops.

Newark Park, National Trust. - A wonderful place with historic Hunting Lodge dating back to Tudor times on the southern edge of Gloucestershire. You will find masses of snowdrops and aconites, throughout the grounds. Wonderful views over the countryside.

Painswick Rococo Gardens Snowdrops - Yet another brilliant place for your Snowdrop Walks within the 6 acres of ground, woods and hillside of this amazing place. See the follies including the Eagle House in this historic Garden which dates back to the 18th Century.

Rodmarton Manor Snowdrops - Over 150 varieties of snowdrops in the grounds and gardens of this wonderful Arts and Crafts Manor. You should also see Crocus, Hellebores, Cyclamen, Aconites. 

Upton Wold Snowdrops - This beautiful Cotswold Manor set in rolling Cotswold Countryside of Gloucestershire is surrounded by gardens and has wonderful displays of Snowdrops and Aconites throughout February and early March. Upton Wold is also close to Batsford Arboretum so you could visit both gardens in one day.
