Set in Richmond Park this Spring Garden comes alive with colour in mid April.

Isabella Plantation - Royal Parks, 40 acres of lawns and glades, streams and ponds within Richmond Park. Lovely collections of rhododendrons and azaleas which are at their best in late Spring early Summer.
Bog gardens with primulas, and in the summer  a good collection of flowering heathers.
Richmond Park covers 2360 acres and was formerly a hunting park for Charles l in 1637. Herds of fallow and red deer still roam the park which is designated a National Nature Reserve.
The Woodland Garden is free to enter.

When is the best time to visit Isabella Plantation? - not to be missed in late April, early May.
Location - Park in the Broomfield Hill Car Park then walk 500 yards to entrance. Ignore post code and suggest that you download a Google Map.

Richmond Park - Disabled access, motorised wheelchairs available weekdays by prior booking. Playgrounds, fishing by permit, cafeteria.
