Leith Hall Garden, near Huntly

Leith Hall Garden covers 6 acres and features extensive herbaceous borders, At the top of the gardenis an unusual Chinese Moon Gate (moon shaped) where visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding hills.. The beautiful historic Hall is open.

The walled garden at Leith Hall is a short walk from the main house and sheltered in a small valley.
Entering from the gate you will be led up extensive borders with lots of colour and the only catmint border in Scotland, leading to a lawned area with a small pond.
At the top of the garden is an unusual Chinese Moon Gate (moon shaped) where visitors can enjoy  spectacular views of the surrounding hills.
You will also find an orchard and kitchen garden.
The original garden was around the house and the walled garden built in the early 1800s to provide vegetables and fruit.
Well worth a visit if combined with a tour of the house which is a typical Scottish laird’s residence brimming with family treasures. Leith Hall can be visited by guided tours  when you visit.
There are also way-marked trails through mixed woodland.
