Amazing daffodil displays around Britain

DAFFODILS HERALD THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING AND WE FEATURE 7 MAGICAL GARDENS TO SEE THEM

Batsford Arboretum, Moreton on the Marsh - This amazing Arboretum is situated just a mile from the picturesque Cotswolds town of Moreton on the Marsh. In March you will discover beautiful displays of daffodils, also late snowdrops, early blossom and a great collection of Magnolias. There are plenty of outside seats with brilliant views overlooking the Cotswolds Escarpment. Dogs are welcome on leads and there is a Garden Centre, Restaurant / Café with an outside decking area. Partial disabled access through the grounds.

Bodnant (National Trust) – One of Britain's finest and most popular gardens, Bodnant is perched above the River Conwy it has views across the valley to the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). There are wonderful drifts of daffodils throughout the garden which is magically transformed into a carpet of buttercup-bright, common Narsicuss pseudonarcissus, and many other varieties. Plenty more to see with the Winter Garden and walks along streams and above waterfalls. Restaurant, accessible routes but unsuitable in places because of terrain. Dog friendly (on leads) in March, but restrictions from April to October.

Brodie Castle Forres – National Trust for Scotland - Just a short distance from Inverness this historic property is famous for its daffodil collection from late March – April which should not be missed. The collection was started by Ian Brodie between 1899 and 1942 and includes over 200 named heritage varieties. Explore the collection along the woodland walks, in the Walled Garden or by the edge of a lake, with access to wildlife observation hides. Dog friendly (short leads), Café, Disabled access. Castle also open.

Caerhays Castle, Truro, Cornwall
Caerhays Castle and gardens near Truro, are located in a sheltered valley overlooking Porthluney Cove on the South Cornish Coast. You park on the edge of the cove which overlook the Atlantic Ocean.
Not only will you see delightful drifts of daffodils throughout the 140 acre garden, you will also find spectacular spring displays of enormous tree magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias as well as a huge range of rare woodland trees and shrubs originating primarily from China.
Dog friendly, café, partial disabled access.

Hever Castle, Edenbridge, Kent
The amazing Gardens were set out in the early 1900s by William Waldorf around this magnificent historic castle dating back to the 14th century which was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. There are great displays of daffodils throughout the garden and you will also be able to see early tulips and tree blossom. There is a Pergola Camellia walk which should also be looking good. The castle is also open.
No dogs, Restaurant / café. Good disabled access to gardens but some restrictions.

Hillier Gardens, Winchester, Hampshire – As Spring arrives the Garden bursts with an explosion of colour. There is much to see along Spring Walk with, Daffodils, Camellias, Rhododendrons and Magnolias. It is also home to probably the best Winter Garden in Britain with a great collection of colourful plants, and great planting ideas for you. The Hillier Gardens cover 180 acres, with 12,000 different species, 14 National collections, Herbaceous Borders and Bog Gardens. You will need the best part of a day here.
No dogs, Restaurant, Shop, Nearby Garden Centre. Good Disabled access to around 50% of the Gardens.

Hindringham Hall Norfolk
This amazing small moated manor house is straight out of a story book. It's gardens wrap around the brick and flint Tudor Hall built on a medieval site complete with moat and Fishponds.
The Daffodil area was originally a road. It was on this ancient roadway that the carp and eel were loaded into carts for the Prior's table in Norwich or Binham. Today it is an unbroken mass of over 40 varieties of Daffodil followed by a white carpet of cow parsley.
No dogs. Tea Room. Partial disabled access.
