Gardens Open Evenings Summer 2024

See Gardens in a different light! Evening Openings 
                          WHEN & WHERE?


A really good time to visit a garden is on a beautiful evening or morning.
The colours appear more vivid. and the scents from roses, shrubs and scented plants more intense. It is also generally a much more peaceful time.
We feature a selection of gardens which will be opening their gates during the evening this summer.


Mottisfont Abbey - Hampshire - Famous for its Rose display set within a walled garden.
Fabulous scents from old fashioned roses trail walls, pergolas, arches and abound everywhere. Other plants intermingle giving a fantastic picture of intense colours.

Open selected dates in June until 8PM – Last entries 7PM

Kew Royal Botanic Gardens - London - one of Britains finest gardens and a world heritage site is situated close to the centre of London. The stunning glasshouses have a rich history and are as they would have been when first built

Open May to August – Weekdays to 7PM last entry 6PM, Weekends 8PM, last entry 7PM


Nymans Gardens - Sussex - Nymans Garden, in Sussex is one of the National Trusts most beautiful gardens. In the late 1800's Ludwig Messel bought the Nymans Estate in the Sussex High Weald to make a dream family home.

Open Selected Fridays until 8.30pm

Denmans Garden - Sussex - The Garden is a great contemporary garden originally designed by the late John Brookes who was famous for his book 'The Small Garden'

Celebration Evening - Thursday 20th June 2024, 6-9pm £20 Must be booked.

Cerney House Gardens - Gloucestershire - This secret Cotswold garden at Cerney House, high above the lovely Churn Valley is a very special and friendly place. There is an amazing sloping Walled Garden with beautiful displays of roses.

Open until 7PM – All summer

Dunham Massey – Near Manchester - This lovely early Georgian House, Dunham Massey, is surrounded by parkland and gardens. There is something for every season including a wonderful Winter Garden.

Open 24 June until 8PM -

Biddulph Grange – Staffordshire - The gardens at Biddulph Grange are perhaps one of the most exciting and unusual gardens in England. Visitors are taken on a miniature tour of the world including China, Egypt and a Scottish Glen.

Open selected Fridays in June until 7PM

Gunby Hall – Lincolnshire - The walled gardens at Gunby Hall in Lincolnshire are the focal point with arched pergolas of fruit trees, herbaceous and cutting borders, roses and herb garden.

Open 15 August until 8PM


Hidcote Manor – Cotswolds - The amazing Hidcote Manor Garden, a 'top ten' British Garden should not be missed. It is situated in the beautiful Cotswold countryside amongst hills, rolling valleys, and drystone walls and was influenced by the Arts and Crafts Movement

Open Thursday 20 June until 9PM
