Stay cool in the forests!

With temperatures set to soar over the next few days - where can you stay cool?

Did you know that forests will tend to be cooler in drier summer conditions by up to around 3 degrees (because, in general, you get more evapotranspiration from trees than from shallow-rooted vegetation and annual grasses)  This cools the surrounding canopy.

We are fortunate to be close to Westonbirt Arboretum where we love to visit on hot summer days. There is a freshness within the woods which you can feel, almost like being by the sea. So if you have a forest or arboretum near you why not try this out!
